Patient Case #2678
36 year-old woman underwent Restylane injections to fill her upper eyelids. The goal of the procedure was to mimic the appearance of the patient’s eyes when she was younger. Comparing the after photo with a photo of the patient at 17, it is clear that filling her upper eyelids has indeed helped turn back the hands of time. The only additional “touches” to more completely simulate the 17 year old photo, would be to botox the forehead to lower the eyebrows and allow the outer part of the eyelid crease to come down and parallel the eyelashes.
The after photos shown are 2 years and 9 months after her initial injections. One touch-up session was performed 14 months prior to the after photos, at which point Dr. Yang injected an additional half syringe of Restylane to maintain the current look, as well as add a bit more fullness. In addition to adding fullness, the filler in each upper eyelid hollow has effectively lowered the crease to give her back the almond-shaped eyes of her youth.
