A Cheek Lift, also known as a Midface Lift, benefits patients with a sunken mid face (the area below the cheek bone). Patients with flat cheekbones where the mid face bone is not projected enough in comparison to the lower facial area could also improve their profile with this procedure. We have also noticed that patients tend to have less prominent naso-labial (nose to lip) folds as a result of this type of lift.

This procedure is often achieved with the additional use of cheek implants (Please refer to Facial Implants for more detailed description). A small incision is made through the inside of the mouth and a pocket is created in which the implant will be placed. After the implant is inserted and placed into ideal position, the incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures. Most patients may return to normal activities after 2 to 3 weeks.
